on the other hand, i want to get married. not necessarily in love. i just wanna be able to say i'm married. that's all.

I'm keeping this person's identity totally private because I can not believe she posted this as her status. I don't know whether to 'lmao' or 'wtf'. We're not even fb friends, we just have mutual friends, but for whatever reason her status pops up on my news feed.

The song can't seem to grow on me, but the video sure has. This is the most joyous video I've seen in a long time. Nowadays music videos are dry and boring and repetitive. It's never about fun. But this video looks like it was tons of fun to make. Homegirl is playing a piano in the desert! Desert + Sunset + Rain + Mud = FUN! A few days ago they were airing "I Think I Love My Wife" on tv, so I watched it twice in a row. I had to. The message behind it is undeniable. The movie is pretty much about a married man who questions whether he loves his wife or not after having a fling with an old friend from high school. Richard Cooper (played by Chris Rock) has a fling with Nikki Tru (played by Kerry Washington) after his marriage loses it's "magic". In Nikki he finds his youth again. [My favorite part is when they throw money out of his office window and watch people try to grab it.......hilarious haha] The fling for the most part remains platonic with some flirting here and there. Then I started thinking to myself "Hey, that sounds like me". I'm a Nikki Tru and I'm not ashamed of it. I am never the wife and I've come to realize that that's not necessarily a negative thing. I'm too free-spirited to be "the wife". Men turn to me when things in their relationships get dry and I provide them with something "new". It's never a sexual exchange. More like moral support? No mistress/other woman over here. Well in the end Richard Copper goes back to his wife and Nikki Tru gets married to a realtor. Hey, you can't be the new thing forever.

Wow, how do I sum this album up? It puts you in an eerie mood. Eerie in a good way. The Art of Letting Go

Letting go of someone is truly an art. It's almost selfish to hold on to some-thing or some-one that will never be; never be the fairytale you dreamed of for so long, never be that ideal character you created in your mind. But when you no longer make excuses or put light to the situation, you are a strong person. When you've established the fact that you've been running around in circles only to land at the same point you started, you are a strong person. When you are able to let go with no looking back you are truly strong. It's all about mastering the art. Now when you are approached by that thing or one, you will remember how strong you are and you won't succumb to a situation where you can't let go. That state when your character is at risk. Just when your selfishness is ready to take over you will remember. And you won't let it happen again.

Sorry if none of this makes sense. I'm in the process of letting go of many people.

Daily Adventures: The New Museum
I have been talking about the New Museum for about a year now and I finally went on Saturday. I should have done it a long time ago. I'm so tired of living in NY and not taking advantage of it. No one wanted to go so I went solo; which I actually liked. I like doing things alone. I'm weird like that.

Soooooooo my 21st bday was this past Wednesday :) Yes, only 21. People seem think I'm alot older? Let me tell you how unexciting it is to be 21. I've already been doing 21 year old things since I was like 17, if you know what I meannnnnn. Anyways, I HAD A FUCKING BLAST. Technically, my birthday started on Monday when my family took me out to dinner. It was great seeing them. Always is. Hate to admit it, but I've sorta abandoned them for New York :/ It will all pay off in the end.

The fun began 12:00 am on the dot! First of all, I brought in my birthday boo-lovin' on the phone and it was totally cute. 6 hours later I was on my way to the Wendy Williams Show with Dijon...............

Yes, the woman you all love to hate. Well, I adore her and her raunchiness. She was telling me about her bunyon surgery and showing me the scar for God sakes. Come on you can't get any realer than that. Everyone wants reality and when they get it, they can't handle it

Afterwards, Dijon treated me to my fave dish Penne a la vodka. No pictures, but it looks a lil something like this...........

omg my mouth is watering just looking at it! I'm totally distracted now lol

After spending the morning at the Wendy Williams show and eating all that penne I had the itisssss. So I went home and slept the rest of the day, literally. That's a granny for that ass haha

But that wasn't the end of the festivities. Thursday I woke up nice and early and shopped. I was all over the place. East 59th, 34th, union square, soho, LES....(if you're not familiar with ny then you're completely lost lol just know I was doing hella shopping lol )

I made my way back home to await the best birthday gift everrrrrrrrrrr......Sade's arrival!!

This is the homie from way way wayyyy back. I was beyond siked to see her. I'm sure she's gonna kill me for this picture but she looks like a tourist, luggage bag and all. Believe it or not she only lives 3o mins away lol My friends.

We did tons of catching up [aka bullshitting] and before I knew it, it was time for my birthday get-together. The spot: Le Caire Lounge, a mediterranean spot down in LES (highly recommend!! just don't steal a bottle from their bar lol read on for details)

16 Credits and two jobs later..........

4.0 GPA!!! Full time student and I had two jobs. I'm a fucking robot, I swear. I don't know how I did it. Actually, I do. I built awesome relationships with my professors and wrote the HELL out of my papers. I'm so ready for the real world. I can not wait to graduate and take over the worrrrrrrld *haunting laugh*

No really, I'm so siked right now. My face is literally like this -----> :D

My plan is to tell my family all about my straight A's then ease in the fact that I joined the NYPD Auxiliary and start training classes in March. Maybe, just maybe, it will fly over their heads?? Ehhhhh :/

Lady Gaga has a great voice

This was back in '05 when she was still Stefani Germanotta and a student at NYU. Not only did she go to NYU (she later dropped out), but she also went to Julliard. Impressive, whether she graduated or not. I also read up on a past drug addiction and previous job at a stripper club, but you can read into that in your on time. I'm not a Lady Gaga basher :p
