I love coming home to this view after a long day; at night it's even more breathtaking.
I had such a great day today. The weather was nice, class and work flew by. I made a trip downtown and got to see SASHA for a bit. I ended up in American Greetings and I must have read every card in the store because I looked up and 30 minutes had passed. I'm such a nerd. I got a passion fruit ice tea from Starbucks and made my way uptown. My next stop was a salon I found on 7th ave that does $5 eyebrow threading. FIVE DOLLAS!! Sketchy, but I was pleasantly surprised after they did an awesome job. They do henna, eyelashes, facials, and seamstressing as well. I'm like, what don't they do?? lol That's what I love about Harlem....the hustlin'. Everyone is scheming on how to get rich.
From there I made my way to Golden Krust because I was starving. My intention was to get rice and peas with stew chicken sauce mmmmmmm................

And I walked out with tons of jerk chicken patties as well. They're only .99 cents for the rest of September. I swear my eyes lit up. But that wasn't the end of it. I also stopped by Burger King to get chocolate chip cookies....two bags of them. Horrible, I know. I was just having a food rage. I even fed a homeless man.

I walked home 13 blocks (like that would burn off all the food I was about to take in...pssh!)
I'll be eating the rest of the night.
Don't call,
Tonya

where is that place uptown? =]
7th ave and 125th? you just made me realize i don't even know the name of the place! but it's a hole in the wall. you would never guess they did such amazing work.
hahaa thanks =]
The view from Columbia is much better. The campus is actually sitting on the highest elevation point on the island. (Though City and CU may actually be sitting on the same outstretched land mass) No wonder some of those privileged ass students think they're so high and mighty; they swear CU is Mt. Olympus...sheesh.
